Simplify complexity and advise at eye level
Quality management and approval processes are much stricter in the automotive industry than in the bicycle industry. This is why we needed know-how and experience in both sectors for this multifaceted project – just right for us. We worked closely with SKS, particularly during the engineering phase of the 2K sealing ring for car steering columns. This enabled us to enable our customer to implement automotive projects independently in the future.
When the concepts for all the tools were ready, we switched on our network. Because even for our tool shop, 22 tools in just one year was a bit too much of a good thing. So we had some of the tools manufactured by our long-standing partners. Of course, our know-how was still involved, as the design sovereignty and therefore the entire responsibility lay with us. For this reason, we also carried out our feasibility studies and samples for all items in-house.
To ensure that each individual tool is process-capable and precisely meets the requirements of the respective industry, we also injection molded the first series in each case. And from EPB, TPE and PP to PA6, we achieved the best results with a wide variety of plastics.
